Job Description

The Bartender at The Speakeasy Lab at Deacon Giles is responsible for helping perform day to day operations in a high volume, cocktail-only bar (no food service, beer, or wine).  As a key part of the team, the Bartender is an integral part of fostering a positive environment and experience for both our guests and fellow employees.  The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded attitude, creative mindset, and a desire to provide a top-notch drinking experience.

  • Foster a fun, respectful, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for both guests and coworkers

  • Aid in the preparation of bar items (syrups, cordials, infusions, garnishes, etc.). We make almost all our cocktail ingredients in house!

  • Provide input on, and be proactive in the development of new drinks

The Speakeasy Lab functions as both a cocktail bar and marketing tool for Deacon Giles. We bring a true laboratory approach to cocktail development, and every team member plays a part in that process. Successful candidates will have the ability to recognize the importance of these aspects to our success and be active in helping to maintain them.
