Bartender
Saturdays
Varying Hours Between 1pm and 12am
This is a generally fast-paced, high-volume shift.
Great for someone who already has basic familiarity with bartending, hospitality, customer service, and POS systems.
Job Description
The Bartender at The Speakeasy Lab at Deacon Giles is responsible for helping perform day to day bar operations in a high volume, cocktail-only bar (no food service, beer, or wine). As a key part of the team, the Bartender is an integral part of fostering a positive environment and experience for both our guests and fellow employees. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded attitude, creative mindset, and a desire to provide a top-notch drinking experience.
Responsibilities

Bring a friendly, creative, and collaborative attitude while upholding standards of service, quality, and presentation, to ensure consistency and accuracy in every cocktail

Foster a fun, respectful, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for both guests and coworkers

Provide input on, and be proactive in the development and execution of new drinks ideas and fun events

Respect and adhere to standards of cleanliness of the bar and backbar areas

Arriving on time and accurately completing opening and/or closing procedures
The Speakeasy Lab functions as both a cocktail bar and marketing tool for Deacon Giles. We bring a true laboratory approach to cocktail development, and every team member plays a part in that process. Successful candidates will have the ability to recognize the importance of these aspects to our success and be active in helping to maintain them.
Requirements

1+ years working as a bartender

Familiarity with POS systems

Attention to detail

A positive, customer focused, damn-righteous attitude

Ability to open/close the bar

Strong communication skills

Ability to remain calm and focused when busy

Ability to remain on your feet for 6+ hours
